Bridal Portrait Session || White Fox Cottage

One of the most cherished and intimate moments of a bride’s wedding journey is the bridal portrait session. Scheduled ahead of the big day, this private shoot offers a unique opportunity to focus solely on the bride, her beauty, and the stunning details that make her wedding day look so special.

Savanna reached out to me about doing her bridal portraits on the same day as her hair and makeup trial – a great way to utilize full glam while you have it done! She wanted to do photos at her venue to have to place around the venue on her wedding day! She also chose to bring along her flower girl, Rory, and she was the perfect addition to these bridal portraits!

This session allowed me to capture Savanna in all her glory—her wedding dress, carefully chosen accessories, and that radiant pre-wedding glow. It was a moment where we could take as much time as we needed to capture beautiful shots while also being able to fully embrace the anticipation before the whirlwind of the actual wedding day begins.

These portraits are often shot in a quiet, serene setting, whether it’s a lush garden, an elegant indoor space, or even the venue where the ceremony will take place. Savanna chose to do her portraits at White Fox Cottage in Commerce, Georgia – where her and Connor would wed a few months later! With no time constraints, the bride was able to move at her own pace, ensuring we got a variety of beautiful shots—from soft, romantic poses to more dramatic, editorial-style images.

Not only do bridal portraits provide the bride with a collection of timeless images, but they also give her a chance to familiarize herself with the gown and how it moves. It’s the perfect opportunity to test out her hair, makeup, and accessories, ensuring everything is picture-perfect for the wedding day.

Plus, these portraits often become a cherished part of the wedding day itself. Many brides choose to display the bridal portraits at the reception or use them for special details like the wedding program or guestbook.

If you’re considering bridal portraits before your wedding, it’s a great way to create lasting memories, have fun, and embrace all the beauty and excitement of this special time. Plus, it gives you the perfect opportunity to enjoy the spotlight and feel like a queen—just for a little while longer—before the big day arrives!
